OmniGrab processes page, media, transcript, and playback information locally. It does not send page URLs, media URLs, captions, transcripts, or downloaded files to OmniGrab's licensing service.

Stored on this device

The speed controller detects video/audio players on web pages. After you open a media downloader, its page URL and detected media details can be kept in browser-session storage. Detection ends when the tab navigates or after 30 minutes unless you reopen or refresh the tool. A site's speed and pitch settings are stored only when you enable Remember on this site.

Transcripts and site sessions

When you request a transcript, post, comments, or batch, OmniGrab reads the relevant page data. Where a supported website requires it, OmniGrab may use the login/session information already available to that page to contact that same website. It does not save those credentials.

Network use

OmniGrab contacts the page, media host, or supported website involved in the feature you request. Separately, the licensing service receives your opaque device/account identifiers, device name, plan status, the action category (media or transcript), timestamps, and daily counts. It does not receive which page or file the action concerns. Email sign-in happens on the OmniGrab website, and Stripe handles payments.

Your control

Downloads start only after you choose one. You can forget the locally saved account token from the Account screen and remove remembered settings by clearing extension storage or uninstalling OmniGrab. Local removal does not delete the server account or free a device slot.
