OmniGrab started with a simple frustration: useful information was often buried inside a 30-minute video. Sometimes you only need the key points, a transcript you can search, or one small section you can revisit later.
We wanted one straightforward browser tool that could turn a long video into something easier to use. That meant exporting a transcript you can take to an AI tool for a summary, downloading a permitted clip for a personal project, keeping a song or audio track you are allowed to save, and changing playback speed when watching is still the best option. Instead of jumping between several extensions, OmniGrab brings those everyday actions together in one tidy place.
OmniGrab is designed for people who value their time and want more control over media on their own computer. The main download and transcript-export work runs locally, so your machine does the work rather than sending your media files to OmniGrab. We keep the interface simple, the pricing clear, and the installation honest: OmniGrab is supplied as a Chrome extension package that you load yourself.
We are building OmniGrab for people worldwide. Our aim is not to decide what you should save. It is to provide a practical tool and ask you to use it responsibly—only with media you own, created, or have permission to download. We will keep improving the extension around real workflows, useful feedback, and the belief that online media should be easier to learn from and work with.
